SEMORE TO LEAD MBC AS
PRESIDENT
The Board of Trustees of Magnolia Bible College announces the
appointment of Garvis Semore as president. Semore will serve as the
college's 5th president and will begin his duties on June 20,
2005.
Semore brings experience at preaching and local church ministry to
his new task. He comes to MBC from Bowling Green, Kentucky where he
has preached for the Lehman Avenue church of Christ. He has over 25
years of ministry experience and has worked as a minister at
congregations in Alabama, Mississippi and Tennessee.
Semore also brings high educational credentials to the table. He
received a B.A. in Bible from David Lipscomb University, a Master
of Ministry from Freed-Hardeman University, and both a Master of
Divinity and a Doctor of Ministry from Southern Christian
University.
Semore and his wife, Teresa, have two sons, Dan and Dustin.
Magnolia Bible College, affiliated with churches of Christ, was
established in 1976 and is accredited by the Commission on Colleges
of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award the
Bachelor of Arts and the Bachelor of Theology degrees.
