ADMISSIONS
On behalf
of Magnolia Bible College, thank you for taking the time to
visit our website. Whether you are exploring this site for
yourself or for someone else, we invite you to take just a
moment to explore what MBC has to offer.
Life is full of uncertainties, adventures and challenges.
Regarding one's education, careful thought should be given
to what each institution proposes. A true freshman just out
of high school has one criteria while a 36 year-old
considering a career change has something entirely
different in mind. We are meeting the needs of both at MBC.
Consider the following thoughts regarding Magnolia Bible
College.
BALANCED.
MBC has a loving, qualified faculty and staff who believe
in the inspiration of the Bible, holding fast to sound
doctrine and teaching the truth in love. We truly hold to
the admonition of speaking where the Bible speaks and being
silent where the Bible is silent.
ACCREDITED.
MBC is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the
Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award a
baccalaureate degree. (
Contact the Commission on
Colleges at 1866 Southern Lane, Decatur, GA 30033-4097or
call 404-679-4501 for questions about the status of
Magnolia Bible College's accreditation.) Due to our
accreditation, we have some students who want to complete
their general education courses at MBC and then transfer to
another institution to complete their degree in another
discipline. We offer a wonderful environment while taking
courses in English, Algebra, History, Science, Philosophy,
etc.
OPTIONS.
MBC's focus has not changed in over thirty years. We only
offer one track--Bible. Though our degree is in Bible,
there are several options. One student may decide to pursue
a Bachelor of Arts in Bible which allows in-depth study of
Hebrew and Greek. Another student may prefer to concentrate
on practical ministry instead of the languages and earn a
Bachelor of Science in Bible instead. For those who already
hold an undergraduate degree in another discipline, MBC
offers a Bachelor of Theology Degree. This degree consists
of 49 hours of Bible concentration.
AFFORDABLE.
MBC's tuition is only $255.00 per credit hour. This coupled
with Federal Student Aid assistance and scholarships make
Magnolia Bible College extremely affordable.
PERSONAL.
MBC is smaller than most colleges. However, this not
necessarily a disadvantage. Our student to teacher ratio of
5 to 1 allows for wonderful relationships to be developed.
You can get personal attention at MBC that you often do not
get in larger institutions. Students are important to us
and are regarded as people and not just numbers.
PRACTICAL.
MBC offers an intensive Bible program to those who plan to
enter the ministry. In addition to our classroom
requirements, our students have the opportunities to
develop their skills through "on the job training." This
practical training is experienced through involvement in
preaching, youth ministry, campaigns, and many other facets
of our Christian Service program. Because of this training
and experience, MBC students are highly sought after for
employment both before and after graduation. These are just
a few of the many features that Magnolia Bible College is
known for. As a 1998 graduate of MBC and current Director
of Admissions, I personally invite you to give us a closer
look.
If you are ready to make the decision to devote your life
to serving God in some aspect of the ministry, Magnolia
Bible College is the place for you. We have a program that
will increase your Bible knowledge, inspire an evangelistic
zeal and prepare you to be a truly effective servant of
God. Even if a career in ministry is not in your future
plans, MBC is still the place for you. What better place to
begin laying the foundation for your future education than
in a warm, Christian environment. Our small family
atmosphere is hard to beat. As you can see, there are many
possibilities waiting for you at Magnolia Bible College.
Contact us about how we can help you make your dream of
earning a degree in Bible become a reality. You'll be glad
that you did!
