PAUL AND PHILLIP GAUNT LIBRARY
Magnolia Bible College
HISTORY
The library at Magnolia Bible College is
named in honor of Paul and Phillip Gaunt of Vicksburg,
Mississippi whose long time support of the college allowed
an expansion and renovation of the library in 1998.
CONVENIENCE
Unlike larger campuses, where students or faculty must walk
or drive to reach the library building, the MBC library is
very conveniently located. A very short connecting hallway
leads directly from the classrooms into the library.
Students and faculty can thus access the library even
during short classroom breaks.
RESOURCES
Wireless internet access, computer stations with internet
access, research databases, Xeroxing, and word processing
with print capabilities are available for student and
faculty use. The library reference and circulating
collections provide over 27,000 volumes, with a
concentration in religion, theology, and sermon materials.
In addition, over 100 newsletters, journals, and magazines
are received, many published by churches of Christ.
LIBRARY CATALOG
The library collection is currently being automated into a
MAGCAT online catalog system, replacing the traditional
card catalog. In the immediate future, the library catalog
will be available on computers campus wide and through the
internet. In the interim questions about holdings can be
made directly to library staff.
