Full time pulpit minister who will preach Sunday AM & PM; Teach a Wednesday night class 3 of the 4 quarters; coordinate visition.

We have 3 Elders, 4 deacons, a modest website: www.gcoc.us On a rotating monthly basis we have: Van driver, greeter, ladies coordinator, worship coordinator, door locker. We have a Family Life Center adjacent to the main building for monthly fellowship. We support missions in Africa, India, and New Zealand.

Salary range, benefits, housing, etc. Large 3 bedroom; 2-1/2 bath parsonage plus other benifits.

We use PowerPoint for announcements, singing, and preaching as needed.

Minister Wanted
Loving, energetic congregation seeks minister with a deep seeded desire to cultivate and nurture faith, hope and obedience through love in Sheridan Arkansas, a rapidly growing small city thirty miles south of Little Rock.

Function
Second Timothy 4:2 - "Preach the word; be ready in season and out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with great patience and instruction." The minister is to help the church grow spiritually and numerically.

Reports to
The minister reports to the Elders of the Sheridan Church. The minister does not report to any individual member of the Sheridan Church of Christ.

Authority
The minister is to preach according to scriptures and only by the authority given in the Bible. On any subject the minister must give prayer and careful study with biblical basis. The minister must provide a balance of material with biblical support.

Responsibility

• Preaching - Have sermon ready to preach on Sunday morning and Sunday evening.
• Teaching – Teach one class each week.
• Teaching fill-in - Have a lesson prepared for filling in Sunday morning or Wednesday night should the need arise.
• Hold devotional at Wednesday night service and provide training for other men for this leadership.
• Assist deacons as needed for council and training.
• Management – Serve as coordinator during the week to assist members or individuals who need the service of one of the deacons.
• Implement a visitation program which teaches members to be part of visitation program. Provide hands on and in the field training for this program.
• Prepare an article for the weekly bulletin to publisher of the bulletin.
• Counseling – Provide counseling for those individuals who desire it.
• Provide referrals and encourage further help for those who are in need.

Relationship
Must adhere to any privacy laws and confidentially handle any matter discussed in confidence. The minister must be professional with everyone in public and in private on any matter concerning the Church or any activity which may directly reflect the reputation of the Church.
