filled: Deadline August 2008. Three elders;
recent mission work in Panama with LST, and New
Orleans with Red Cross
Requirements: Need Godly man, faithful to the church
of Christ and sound Bible doctrine. At least 3-5
years of prior preaching experience, in a first
marriage with a church-active family, with high level
of integrity and energy. Preaching/lessons should be
encouraging, spiritually uplifting and
evangelistically oriented. Need to show church
development and growth in past work, effective
communication, verifiable leadership references,
experience with young adults and families and pattern
of good works. Work here includes all phases of
ministry (preaching, teaching, visiting, evangelism,
edifying and leadership). Need a four year degree
with a heavy Bible emphasis, 3+ years prior preaching
experience.
Compensation: to be determined based upon candidate
qualifications.
Comments: Ideal preacher and family opportunity for a
self-starter, outreach oriented worker. Greatest
opportunity is reaching young marrieds and families.
Good age representation and debt-free congregation.
Leadership of 3 elders and congregation. In
Knoxville, Iowa, the county seat, a 32,000 person
area, light industry, and agriculture. Extensive
camping on the largest lake in Iowa, rolling hills,
and complete athletic facilities. Easy access to Des
Moines, the state capital.
